Schneider Electric unveiled at GFC2025, driving green factory upgrade with AI technology innovation

Recently, Schneider Electric, a global leader in industrial technology, was invited to attend the GFC2025 (8th) Green Factory Management Conference and the International Green Factory Design, Construction, and Operation New Product and Technology Exhibition. During the exhibition, Schneider Electric showcased innovative digital products and solutions based on AI technology, shared the energy-saving and carbon reduction experience of Schneider Electric’s Wuxi “Sustainable Lighthouse Factory”, and benchmark transformation cases in the fields of electronics, life sciences, etc., providing valuable and practical references for helping the industry achieve digital and green low-carbon transformation.

Under the trend of new quality productivity and digital development, the pace of transformation in various industries is being accelerated. How to deeply integrate digital technologies such as AI with industrial applications to achieve coordinated promotion of energy conservation, carbon reduction, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement has become a major challenge faced by various industries. Among them, as the main carrier of industrial production, exploring digital technology to improve energy-saving management and operation efficiency has become a necessary path for factory transformation and upgrading.

At the Green Factory Intelligent Electrical and Operations Technology Forum, Wei Kun, the head of Schneider Electric’s Digital Energy Efficiency Business China Digital Building Market Department, delivered a keynote speech on “Energy Efficiency and Human Efficiency Improvement of Green Factories in the Era of AI Agents”. He pointed out that the arrival of the AI Agent era has injected new vitality into the development of green factories. As a key tool driving human AI collaboration towards advanced forms, AI agents have five key capabilities based on large-scale model construction: process input control, autonomous planning, memory system, reflection system, and tool invocation. They can deeply integrate into green factory operation and management, independently establish and maintain various building control systems, and comprehensively improve energy efficiency and operation efficiency. ”

With leading digital technology, Schneider Electric not only empowers customers and partners to create “efficiency” tools, but also upgrades and deploys them in its own Wuxi “Sustainable Lighthouse Factory”. For example, the intelligent HVAC system constructed by digital twins and artificial intelligence, combined with building automatic control systems, greatly improves the efficiency of energy and water resource utilization in factories. Among them, SpaceLogic ™ The application of AI Box (Building Energy Saving Box) has enabled the factory to achieve an actual operating energy saving rate of 21.5% in 2023, with an expected energy saving rate of 30% in the later stage. The proportion of air conditioning energy consumption has decreased from 46% in previous years to the current 36%; EcoStruxure, a building intelligent operation and maintenance expert ™ Building GPT has shortened the maintenance time of the factory’s HVAC system from 4 hours per day to 1.5 hours, significantly improving maintenance efficiency and achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

With the continuous iteration of AI digital technology, various industries are ushering in a new wave of upgrading led by intelligence, green, and low-carbon. Schneider Electric will continue to integrate its expertise in energy management and digital technology, closely focusing on the needs of enterprise transformation, and using innovative technologies, products, and solutions to help customers improve operational efficiency, achieve digital, green, and low-carbon development, and work together towards a sustainable future.
